A Day of Resilience.

The Buffalo community showed it’s mettle following the Allina Crossroads tragedy. As the 1-year mark approaches, let us reclaim this day as one of resilience, strength, and renewed commitment to each other with a day of community happenings designed to bring us closer together, culminating in an event at Buffalo High School PAC.

Look for a schedule of events (coming January) in the Drummer, your utility statement, and on social media.

The Hard Truth.

The truth can be hard. And in the case of the tragedy our community experienced in February 2021, there is no doubt that substance abuse and poor mental health played a significant part.

Buffalo Strong has heard our Law Enforcement leaders when they share that 70% of all their calls involve mental health and substance abuse. That is why, as Buffalo Strong looks toward building a stronger community, we will be sharing opportunities and resources that will equip YOU to be a better advocate and support for those facing substance abuse and mental health challenges, or maybe find the resources you need for yourself.

Buffalo Strong is our community hub; donate, volunteer, or join in community solidarity.

Catalyzed by the Allina Crossroads Clinic tragedy, Buffalo Strong is focused on community mental health & addiction recovery, along with efforts to keep our community connected. We will Connect to each other. We will Care for each other. And we will Continue making Buffalo a place that supports every one of us.

It will take all of us to be #BuffaloStrong.

Crossroads Clinic Has Re-Opened

“Phoenix” the Buffalo- installed by Crossroads staff through donated funds- stands strong outside the Allina Crossroads clinic to forever remind the community & staff to rise above this tragedy.

Seven months later…

The events of this year have left an indelible mark on the hearts of the Allina family. And yet, through it all there is much gratitude to the Buffalo & Allina communities for all the incredible support.

The Crossroads staff, old and new, are anxious to re-open and begin serving the people of Buffalo with the excellent standard of care they’ve been known for. The clinic re-opened on September 27th, without ceremony, and began treating patients once again, with the high standard of care the Buffalo Community has come to trust.

Sensitive to the comfort of its staff and patients, Allina has invested heavily in remodeling and upgrading the facility with groundbreaking security and safety features. Security measures will be implemented across Allina facilities in the months to come, so that all will feel comforted knowing they are well cared for and protected.

The Allina family is asking that well-wishers refrain from visiting the clinic unless scheduled as a patient. This will help minimize stress for staff and patients.
